HISTORY OF THE SHOW
The idea for ‘The Attic’ initially came about in 2018 (see: Motifs and Themes) as the final project for the Goldsmiths University’s Masters programme in writing musical theatre. In July 2020, ‘The Attic’ had its first workshop with the Grey Area Theatre Company and then in October 2020, it had a showing at the Union Theatre in London. Directed by Grace Taylor (Six) and starring Holly Dale Spencer (Matilda) , Jade Johnson (Book Of Mormon) and Jason Denton (School Of Rock), ‘The Attic’ received fantastic feedback that compelled us to take it further. So, after numerous rewrites, a new composer and table reads with top talent, ‘The Attic’ is getting ready to make its public debut.
